About Me

I'm an Egyptian software engineer, and without buzzwords, my ultimate goal is to build purposeful apps and bring ideas to life. That’s why I suspended my bachelor's studies, dedicating myself fully to Software Engineering. Collaborating in an Agile-like format has been my approach since starting with ALX in early 2023.

For me, spending hours debugging MySQL server on someone's machine isn't wasted time. A small push or a few words can shape someone’s future impact, and being part of that is its own reward.

What makes me tick?

I’m sincerely passionate about SWE. The joy of bringing a feature to life in something impactful is indescribable.
I have good experience collaborating in an agile-like format with diverse teams.
Even the joy of tackling hard things, seeing learning become working code – whether it’s solving a LeetCode problem, building a custom Unix shell, or deeply understanding how the internet works – is incredibly fulfilling.
The joy I got from building ProLearningHub, RemindMe, ReactHooksSimplified, and The-Fog-Is-Lifting is unreal. Seeing a chance to make an impact come alive is something I can’t stop talking about.

I also believe in continuous learning; I even studied "how to learn" through McMaster University. After nearly two years of daily reading, practicing, solving tasks, and overcoming challenges as an ALX SE alum, I'm proud of the journey and eager for what's next!

Full-Stack SE - ProLearningHub

Final webstack project at ALX SE | Sep 2024 - Present

Built and designed a scalable e-learning platform helping with digitalizing Education with React, Redux, and Socket.IO, ensuring real-time updates and efficient state management.
Designed and implemented a robust backend with a RESTful API and WebSocket using Node.js, Express, and MySQL-incorporating dynamic content syncing mechanism, offline-first strategies.
Led production deployment and DevOps setup, configuring servers, reverse proxies (Nginx), database backups, and CI/CD pipelines for scalability and reliability.
Gained valuable team experience both as lead & member, especially effectively suppressing ego & constructively addressing issues.
Eventually, created a unique experience akin to Harvard Courses to students + ensuring collaboration.

Elzero System - Management Dashboard

Personal Project | Feb 2025

Built a fully responsive, multi-page management system with a dedicated dashboard featuring various widgets and other pages for profile, settings, courses, profiles, friends, files, and more.
Built an intuitive UI with structured navigation for a smooth user experience everywhere.
Developed using modern front-end techniques, incorporating clean, maintainable CSS and interactive components for a professional and scalable design.

Elzero World Landing page

Personal Project | Jan 2025

Developed a fully responsive, 14-section landing page, built with modern, high-quality CSS for a professional design.
Implemented fluid animations, smooth hover effects, and well-structured layouts using CSS Grid, Flexbox, and advanced styling techniques to enhance interactivity and visual appeal.

Full-Stack Developer - RemindMe

Final ALX SE foundations/Personal project | May 2024 - Jun 2024

Designed and built the architecture for a social Media-like app that enables users to store reminders of their whys, goals, and favorite quotes, while engaging with others' public reminders.
Console, DB engine, file-storage engine, SQLAlchemy ORM, REST API & Application server with Flask-these formed the app's backend.
Created a responsive front end using Ajax, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, hopefully creating an intuitive user experience.

AirBnB Clone

ALX SE project, Remote | Feb 2024 - Apr 2024

Applying Test-Driven development principles, Collaborated across five development stages to build a robust backend, including a console, file-storage engine, DB engine, ORM setup, REST API, and Flask application server.
Built a minimal dynamic front-end to serve the application, integrating it with backend services.
Configured and automated server deployment, implementing Nginx setup, load balancing, and CI/CD pipelines for scalability and reliability.

C Interpreter for Monty Bytecode

ALX SE Project | Nov 2023

Built an interpreter for Monty Bytecode, a stack-based scripting language, as part of a great collaborative group project.
Implemented core stack and queue operations (push, pop, swap, add, sub, div, mul, stack, queue, and more), adhering to LIFO and FIFO principles.
Ensured memory safety, error handling, and compliance with strict Betty coding standards.

Simple Shell

ALX SE Project | Apr 2023

Contributed to building a custom UNIX command-line interpreter in C, implementing command execution, argument handling, and user input processing using execve and system calls.
Implemented handling arguments and PATH resolution, optimizing input handling with a custom getline() for efficient command execution.
Ensured high code quality by strictly adhering to Betty coding standards, writing maintainable and efficient C code.
